Certificate in Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist Level 1
Overview: The Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist Level 1 Certification program is designed to meet entrylevel requirements for on-the-job skills. In this program students will be exposed to drill presses, mills, lathes, and grinders, then advance to CNC milling and CNC turning. You will learn to efficiently set up and run CNC machines. Problem solving skills, troubleshooting techniques and use of engineering materials and process learned at KQE prepare students to take the (NIMS) National Institute of Metalworking Skills credentialing exams. KQE content is based on (NIMS) approved courseware and standards.
Sales and Account Management
Overview: This Certificate in Sales and Account Management focuses on the role of influence and persuasion in professional selling and other organizational settings. A focus on selling techniques to the role of sales leadership, students will grasp the concepts required to identify client needs and qualify the client’s buying process. Included in the program are advanced methods of questioning, customer need analysis, business-to-business sales situations and determining buyer qualifications.
Overview: Whether or not your organization has a robust Project Management infrastructure in place, the need to successfully manage small to medium-sized projects will play a large role in determining its success. This course focuses on the skills required to plan and implement a project that will fulfill the stated requirements, as well as, meet time and budget constraints. You will be presented a methodology to document project requirements, identify necessary resources, identify and mitigate potential risks, schedule and track project activity, monitor and control project outcomes, and formally close projects. This course emphasizes project management basics including practical tips, tricks, and templates, to facilitate managing small to medium-size projects with a minimum investment in project management infrastructure.
Practical Project Management
Overview: This course is designed to provide the student with a basic understanding of the Project Management Processes – Project Initiation; Project Planning; Project Execution; Project Monitoring and Control; Project Closing. The emphasis is on integrating proven project management processes into an organization culture. The goal is to enable students to leverage an organization culture with project management processes rather than impose processes on the organization and lay a foundation for continuous improvement of the organization’s project management processes as the organization realizes the benefits of a project management methodology.
Overview: This course focuses on the skills required to achieve a level of competency in a number of industry related Microsoft IT classes. The student will be prepared to attempt industry exams by Microsoft after the training or with the addition of a second suggested class. Either way the student will be prepared to implement the new skills at a support level. This series is for students with an IT background and should have the proper work experience. The certificate will show the designation for the core course selected. (Example: Certificate in Microsoft Technologies: Project Server)
Microsoft System Administration
Overview: This course focuses on the skills required to achieve a level of competency with Windows Server. The certificate will show the designation for the elective selected. (Example: Certificate in Microsoft Systems Administration: Administering Windows Server). To complete this certificate you must complete one of the 4 classes listed below. You may take this certificate program multiple times selecting different classes each time.
Lean Sigma Green Belt
Overview: This Lean Sigma Green Belt training is designed to develop a professional who is well versed in the Lean Sigma Methodology who leads or supports improvement projects. This Lean Sigma Green Belt class will provide a thorough understanding of all aspects within the phases of D-M-A-I-C. In addition, you will learn how to perform and interpret Six Sigma tools and how to use standard principles of Lean. The Cases used in this class will be covered more in depth, allowing the student to experience the level of detail a Green Belt would support. At this level the student is also encouraged to take a Certification exam to quantify their skills based on an industry exam.
Certificate in Lean Sigma Yellow Belt
Overview: The Lean Sigma Yellow Belt works to support projects by reviewing process improvements that can support the process. This class teaches the student the role and concepts of being a Yellow Belt. As a Yellow belt is still relatively new to the Lean Sigma program the class will reinforce concepts needed to grow and become a more efficient Team member. The class will review terms and work on cases keeping in mind the student is in a support role at this level.
Lean Sigma White Belt
Overview: The Lean Sigma White Belt is an introductory class into the terms and concepts of Lean Sigma. This class teaches the student the basic knowledge needed to begin the process of working on a Lean Sigma Green or Black belt team. This training is for anyone that wants to learn about Lean Sigma and may enter as a new team member.
Overview: This program helps managers and professionals gain valuable skills, which can be used immediately to analyze unit or company performance. Students learn how to apply Lean Sigma techniques to attack inefficiencies— wastes caused by defects, overproduction, and extra processing to enhance any organization. This class is designed to help Six Sigma users move to the Lean methodologies.
