Option #1: DOE: IAOAP001 – Certified Administrative Professional (CAP)

Program Description:

This Certified Administrative Management program has been created with a focus on professional development towards operational skills. Individuals will build a program of core critical skills needed in order to perform administrative management duties. Many of the electives will be utilized towards job specific functions for placement and advancement. The program emphasizes professional development and skill improvement necessary for career readiness, through the use of case studies, exercises and special projects.

Employment Outlook:

In addition to the jobs created from growth in the industry, numerous job opportunities will arise from the need to replace secretaries and administrative assistants who transfer to other occupations. These may include exceptionally skilled executive secretaries and administrative assistants who often move into professional occupations. Job opportunities should be best for applicants with extensive knowledge of computer software applications with experience as secretaries or administrative assistants, or with advanced communication and computer skills.

Program Description:

Our Certified Microsoft Office User program has been created with a delivery model focused on Microsoft Office applications and how they apply in the business sector. Students will learn the benefits of Microsoft Office applications and the concept of working smarter by leveraging technology accordingly. This Certified Microsoft Office User program will consists of courses that provide detailed instruction on using the most popular applications of Microsoft Windows 2010: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Program Description:

Employment Outlook:

Employment of bookkeeping, accounting, and auditing clerks is expected to grow 14 percent from 2010 to 2020, as fast as the average of all occupations. As the number of organizations increases and financial regulations become stricter, there will be greater demand for these workers to maintain books and provide accounting services.
