press release
Tampa, Florida —December 22, 2025 — Learning Alliance Corporation (LAC) earns accreditation
through the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education & Training (ACCET)
as preparations for a new 26-acre telecommunications school campus begin.
“Receiving that letter and seeing the words ‘congratulations’
in it was one of the proudest moments I have felt thus far in my educational
administrative career,” said Fred Arnold, Executive Director of LAC.
Processes, educational delivery, and organizational controls
– both in financial capabilities and data related storage and best practices –
were measured during the audits.
“It is not just one
person that makes up the success of the organization,” said Cesar Ruiz,
President of LAC, “we all took up the challenge, made ourselves better, and
systematized the organization to meet expectations,” he said.
Ruiz says that SYSTEM stands for “save yourself time, energy
and money”. Throughout the accreditation process, LAC systematized many
organizational requirements to help all of its personnel gain efficiency.
“We had members of ACCET here onsite to review our
curriculum, instructors, in-person hands-on labs, and everything in-between,”
said Derrick Francis, Director of Operations of LAC, “our instructors, program
staff, and faculty really stepped up to deliver on standards and best
practices.
Teamwork and collaboration allowed the process to be smooth.
Each organizational unit provided valuable pieces to ACCET’s standards 1-9 that
the school met.
“Working with Fred, Derrick, Ken, and all of the teams really
strengthened our sense of unity as a school organization,” said Shelby Massey,
SR. Project Manager who spearheaded the project. “I could not have done what
needed to be done without their capabilities and individual strengths,” she
said.
“Accreditation means we can expand offerings to new
modalities for our military veterans,” said Francis. “Veterans can use their
benefits for online opportunities and blended options as they transition. We
can expand into project management, construction management, and other
power-skill related needs,” he said.
With the onset of this news from ACCET, LAC also closed on a
26-acre facility in City of Plant City, Florida. The new facility plans provide
expansion for 5 total buildings and acreage to perform any lab, hands-on
requirement, or need the industry comes up with.
“We are the first telecommunications centric campus in the
US,” said Ruiz, “we will have 7 fiber huts, small neighborhoods simulating
homes and roadways, ability to trench, bore and utilize drill rigs, multiple
wireless cell tower structure in varying heights, and full outside plant
capabilities. If it comes from telecom, it will have a home here.”
LAC plans to move into the new facility in April of 2026.
