When asked for comment, NATE’s President & CEO Todd Schlekeway spoke on the importance of the Susan Harwood Grant for the development of the course saying, “NATE appreciates member company Learning Alliance Corporation for hosting a 5G-Small Cell Deployment Training Course today at their headquarters in Tampa, Florida. The U.S. DOL-OSHA Susan Harwood Grant has been an invaluable asset for NATE and is an integral component of the Association’s workforce development initiatives. Facilitating quality 5G-Small Cell Deployment Training and professional development through this grant is playing a vital role in enhancing the safety and technical skill-sets of industry employees.”

One of LAC’s partnering companies, Safety LMS, was also asked for a comment and Director of Sales and Marketing, Benjamin Bowman, had this to say: “The Susan Harwood Grant Training that NATE is hosting at Learning Alliance in Tampa is a great initiative highlighting the new hazards that technicians may be experiencing from 5G. It is a different skill set needed with a different set of dangers from ‘normal’ telecom work. There is potential that since the work is typically at a lower height, workers may be lulled into a false sense of security and cut corners.”
