Learning Alliance Launches Fiber Training Program in Oklahoma, Supported by Kiamichi Technology Center

Learning Alliance Corporation (LAC) announces the launch of a new Fiber Training Program in Oklahoma, created in partnership with Kiamichi Technology Center. This initiative aims to meet Oklahoma’s demand for skilled fiber optic technicians, offering hands-on training to prepare participants for high-demand careers in broadband infrastructure. To date, the program has successfully trained three incumbent workers, identified 15 job opportunities, and provided interview options for eight students.

The program provides a comprehensive curriculum that covers fiber installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques. Participants gain practical experience in fiber optic installation, schematic interpretation, and adherence to industry safety standards. As fiber optic demand continues to grow, this program opens doors for Oklahoma residents to pursue long-term careers in telecommunications.

It’s been a great resource for continuous growth,” said Nathan Garman, a telecommunications professional enhancing his skills through the program.

Led by experienced instructors, the program emphasizes real-world applications, with students gaining hands-on experience in fiber splicing, network testing, and troubleshooting. Together, Learning Alliance and Kiamichi Technology Center are preparing a skilled workforce to support Oklahoma’s broadband future, enhancing connectivity and economic opportunity across the state.
