Petzl Joins the NextTech Initiative

Learning Alliance Corporation (LAC) welcomes Petzl into the NextTech Diversity Program. This initiative gives minorities in the industry a chance to quick-start their career in telecom with the help of schools like LAC that help them get the certifications they need to succeed.

“Petzl is a manufacturing leader that supports the safety of technicians in our industry. Now, they lead by demonstrating that diversity and inclusion is an important factor that helps an under-utilized category of our population to shrink the workforce shortage that we experience as an industry. That is leadership in action, and we welcome their actions to the NextTech Program,” said Cesar Ruiz, President and CEO of Learning Alliance.

LAC wants to commend Petzl for allowing a visit to their headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah to film a walk-through video of their facility. Petzl’s facility is a LEED platinum-rated building, and their 15,000 square-foot Technical Institute has over 5,000 sq/ft of exposed climbing structures.

Petzl made the commitment to sponsoring one student for the NextTech Program and making the increase of diversity, equity, and inclusion across the telecom industry their goal.
